Annual Soil Loss

Annual soil loss, abbreviated as A, also called Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE), predicts the average annual soil loss by multiplying the factors listed below togeather.

Annual Soil Loss formula

\(\large{ A = C \; LS \; P \; R \; K   }\)

Where:

\(\large{ A }\) = annual soil loss

\(\large{ C }\) = effects of vegitation cover and management techniques

\(\large{ LS }\) = length and steepness of the slope

\(\large{ P }\) = physical protection factor

\(\large{ R }\) = rainfall erosion factor

\(\large{ K } \) = soil erodibility factor
