# Heat Capacity at Constant Pressure

At constant pressure, abbreviated as $$C_p$$, some of the heat goes to doing work.  The value of heat capacity depends on whether the heat is added at constant volume, constant pressure, etc.

Where:

$$\large{ Q }$$ = heat transfer

$$\large{ n }$$ = amount of substance

$$\large{ C_p }$$ = heat constant pressure

$$\large{ \Delta T }$$ = temperature differential
