Hazen-Williams Equation Flow Rate

This flow rate formula is used in Hazen-Williams equations and the coefficient formula.  This formula only works for ambient temperatute and turbulent flow.

Hazen-Williams Equation flow Rate formula

\(\large{ Q = 0.285C   d^{2.63}   m^{0.54}   }\)

Where:

\(\large{ Q }\) = flow rate

\(\large{ C }\) = Hazen-Williams Coefficient

\(\large{ m }\) = hydraulic grade line slope

\(\large{ d }\) = inside diameter of pipe ID

Solve for:

\(\large{ C = \frac {Q} { 0.285d^{2.63}     m^{0.54} }  }\)

\(\large{ m =   \left(     \frac {Q} { 0.285C     d^{2.63} } \right)   ^{\frac {1}{0.54} }  }\)

\(\large{ d = \left(   \frac {Q} { 0.285C   m^{0.54} } \right)       ^{\frac {1}{2.63} }   }\)
