Current Density

Written by Jerry Ratzlaff on . Posted in Electromagnetism

Current density is the measure of current per unit of cross section.

Current Density Formula

\(\large{ J =  \frac{I}{A}  }\)

Where:

\(\large{ J }\) = current density

\(\large{ A }\) = cross-section area of the conductor

\(\large{ I }\) = current through the conductor
